The Apple Watch was officially launched on the 24th of April, 2015 but stock problems owing to high level of demand over supply during pre-order phase have kept the watch out of the stores.

Apple has confirmed that the watch can now be picked up in stores nd would be available to buy in shops from 29th July, with supply finally catching up with demand.

The cheapest option which is the 38mm apple watch sport is available for a price of £299, while the larger 42mm model will cost £339. There are more expensive versions available from £479 going up to £949 depending on the case and band combination.

As expected, the Apple Watch edition which is crafted from Rose or Yellow 18 carat Gold is the most expensive and is available at the Apple Watch website from £8,000 up to £13,500 for the most expensive version.


The Apple Watch will be made available in 1.5in (38mm) and 1.7in (42mm) screen sizes, with 272×340 and 319×390 resolutions, respectively. The smartwatch will feature a square display coated in a protective layer of sapphire crystal.

The smartwatch will be available for purchase with 34 different faces and straps.

The smartwatch is protected against a short duration of water immersion at a depth of less than one metre. It is IPX7 waterproof standard.

CEO Tim Cook claims that the Smartwatch battery can last up to 18 hours on the average and supports wireless charging.

To use the Apple Watch, you will need a compatible phone such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 5s.
