Acer had its 2016 IFA event today in Berlin and what seemed to be the highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Acer Predator 21 X which features a 21-inch curved display, 64GB of DD4 RAM and 4 TB of SSD storage – a laptop that might be best referred to as a Monster.
Acer acknowledges that fact that the Predator 21 X is more of a proof of engineering astuteness than any form of ‘Big seller’ retail product.

The product which is an out-of-this-world gaming laptop is hilariously charming, the gap between its keyboard and curved screen making it even look more comical when closed than ever.
Not only have the designers of this beast – Acer Predator 21 X – managed to put the first curved 21-inch display on a laptop, they’ve also equipped it with dual GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs with support for G-Sync technology, five cooling fans, three of which are super-slim metal AeroBlade fans, a large window to show off some of the cooling fans, a 7th-generation Intel Core K-series processor, a numpad that flips over into a touchpad, 64GB of DD4 RAM and 4 TB of SSD Storage.
The X21 also features the integrated Tobii eye-tracking, full-size Cherry MX mechanical keyboard with individually adjustable RGB backlighting for each key, an SD Card slot and a SoundPound2 + sound system (4 speakers and 2 subwoofers).
Just as expected, the Acer Predator 21 X weighs a whooping 8kg.
The 21-inch curved screen flagship has an IPS of 2560×1080 with wide color gamut and generous viewing angles. Indeed it promises a deeply absorbing gaming experience, every PC gamer should love this beast.
Each Acer Predator 21 X will be made to order, starting in January of next year, however we have no details about the pricing yet.
Even though it looks like a monster laptop that just swallowed seven other laptops, the Acer Predator 21 X is a welcomed development as it signals future intent of manufactures and also awakens the innovative minds, giving insights on which direction they may focus future innovation.
Based on specs alone, the Predator 21 X is really impressive, but we have to wait till it is available to give a complete review of the flagship.
