The FIRS stressed that when the 2016 Federal Inland Revenue Service Recruitment would be made public in newspapers and on its official website in due course and as such advised aspiring candidates to remain calm and wait for an official announcement.
A few weeks ago, the executive Chairman of the FIRS, Mr. Babatunde Fowler while standing before the Senate made mention that the FIRS is set to recruit 1,250 job seekers for the 2016 Federal Inland Revenue Service Recruitment and would commence the process after the 2016 Budget has been duly signed by the President of the Federation.
According to Babatunde Fowler, “Basically we are discussing the 2016 budget. And within the budget, we have made a provision for recruitment of staff in terms of staff expansion to further strengthen the ability of the FIRS to perform its duties; and in total we are expected to recruit about 1,250 job seekers for the 2016 FIRS Recruitment. The recruitment process will start once the budget has been duly signed and approved…”
The Executive Chairman of the FIRS, Babtunde Fowler went on to stress that less than ten percent (10%) of Nigerians are actually remitting when it comes to Value Added Tax (VAT), and that with the support of the Senate and the signing of the 2016 Budget, the FIRS would be able to meet its target, strengthen its staff with the 2016 FIRS Recruitment and collect taxes as appropriate.
He pointed out that paying of taxes would empower the government to provide necessary services to the citizens as taxes form a major source of government’s revenue and that the 2016 Federal Inland Revenue Service Recruitment would help achieve that.
The FIRS has therefore warned the public to desist from falling prey to scam jobs as the 2016 Federal Inland Revenue Service Recruitment would be announced in national newspapers and on the FIRS Recruitment website.
Aspiring applicants for the 2016 FIRS Recruitment are hereby advised to discard such fraudulent text messages while they remain patient for the official announcement to be made before applying for the job.
